Isn't it interesting?

Isn't it intersting when people say "Break a Leg"? I mean, isn't breaking a leg a bad thing? When was it ever a good thing. I know being a theature nerd, it is an expression that means good luck, but is Breaking a leg ever a good thing? When did being in pain ever translate into good luck? Mabye its one of those things that when the opposite thing is meant. But seriously, when that expression was first invented in someone's mind, wasn't it ever confusing. "Hither, I pardon thy tongue!!!! Did you put insult from thy tongue to thee body? How dare thy master of any sorts, insult me in such a parposturous matter. Thy gods may hear you now sir and put hurt to thee body!!! Teribble sir!!!! Isn't leg to be broken a hurting matter?"
